Orcutt Ranch Wedding – West Hills

We are so thrilled for our feature in Pacific Weddings Magazine!  This incredibly stylish 1920’s Hollywood Vintage inspired Orcutt Ranch Wedding was so much fun to photograph!  Dax & Sarah are professional lindy hop swing dancers who have travelled the world teaching, performing, and competing.   So to say that it is actually their lifestyle to be vintage is a huge understatement.  Their wedding showcased lots of vintage DIY details contributed with love by many of their friends and family.  The wedding party also happened to be comprised of many of the best swing, tango, salsa, tap, and burlesque dancers and musicians in the world.  The highlight of the evening was when their friends put on an amazing Cabaret show for Dax & Sarah and all the guests.

FROM THE COUPLE

“Above and beyond! Shane and Jen are an unbeatable team that captured the essence of our wedding and didn’t miss a single moment. They are both a pleasure to work with and extremely good at taking pictures.

Let me explain in more detail. They are great with light and focus. All the shots we got back looked amazing. However, even better, they are great at getting you to look good in your pictures. Nothing is worse than looking like a fool in a beautifully lit photo. They do a fabulous job avoiding this common pitfall. In addition they are great with direction so when something needs adjusting they guide you in very comfortable and organic way making for amazing pictures where you, the lighting and the scene look good.

I could tell by the end of the day that Shane and Jen KNOW weddings, and they know the moments that need attention, and the shots that can’t be missed in order to create a complete story. Being a good wedding photographer is a high pressure job, where performance and personality is essential. These moments only happen once, and they nailed it.

Highly, Highly recommended!”
